This is an extremely rare original Art Deco overmantle gilt wood mirror; retaining it''s original 24 ct water gilded gold leaf finish as opposed to being overpainted in gold paint or oil gilded. Being restrained in design with a simple carved frame with lower side stepped and carved detail with flame art deco motif. Retaining the original mirror plate with a very unusual triple bevelled design. Excellent condition. Circa 1920. Measures 52''w x 52''h x 3''d.( 43''w excluding carved side detail) mirror plate 37.5''w x 47.5''h
