Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This early 20th-century armchair follows the Queen Anne style with an unusually tall winged backrest, a narrow seat, and scroll arms. The timber frame combines walnut cabriole front legs with curved stretchers and beech back legs, supporting modern upholstery in a hard-wearing burgundy textured weave by Ross Fabrics. The chair measures 127 cm high, 80 cm wide, and 70 cm deep. Position this seating piece in a traditional study, a reading corner, or a country house living room for comfortable upright support. The slim proportions make it practical for compact seating areas while providing a high backrest for head support. The neutral burgundy fabric integrates easily into existing period or transitional interiors.

Queen Anne style wing armchairs feature cabriole front legs, pad feet, curved stretchers, and high backs with flared side wings originally created to retain heat from open fireplaces.

Frame construction from this period typically utilises hardwoods such as walnut or beech for exposed legs, combined with internal timber framing, webbed seating, and woven upholstery fabric.

Twentieth-century reproductions often feature machine-cut joinery, uniform wood grain beneath modern varnish, standardized screw threads, and modern upholstery layers within the internal construction.

Position the chair in a reading corner or beside a fireplace, paired with a low side table and a subtle floor lamp to highlight the silhouette against contemporary walls.

Vacuum the fabric gently using a soft brush attachment, keep the timber legs polished with natural beeswax, and position the chair away from direct sunlight to prevent textile fading.
