Description

A beautiful antique mahogany open armchair, dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, circa 1890–1910.

The chair features an elegant mahogany frame with gently shaped arms, a curved top rail and graceful swept legs. The seat and backrest are upholstered in an attractive golden mustard velvet, finished with traditional decorative braid edging.

The warm colour of the upholstery contrasts beautifully with the rich mahogany frame, giving the chair a particularly elegant period appearance.

A versatile antique piece, ideal as an occasional chair, desk chair, bedroom chair or statement armchair in a traditional or eclectic interior.

Seat Height: 44 cm

The chair is in very good antique condition, with minor age-related marks and signs of previous use consistent with its age. The upholstery also shows some light wear and variation associated with use. The frame remains solid and presents very well overall.
