Antique 19th century Victorian stick back armchair in oak, full of the warmth and character that makes traditional seating so appealing.

Four turned legs provide a sturdy foundation and are joined by supporting stretchers, with the chair remaining solid and showing no unwanted movement. Across the back, beautifully turned spindles create an eye-catching feature and give the chair its classic stick back appearance.

Gorgeous grain flows through the oak, accompanied by a rich colour that has developed plenty of depth over time.

Well made, of good quality and presented in good condition, this is a lovely piece to enjoy as an everyday chair while still appreciating its Victorian character.

Its warm oak and distinctive spindle back would look especially at home beside a fireside, in a reading corner or as an occasional chair.
