Philip Hunt Antiques has dated these Chippendale Mahogany Dining Chairs to the 1890s.

The chairs are raised upon square legs united by H-frame stretchers, providing both strength and stability. The shaped backs feature elegant cresting rails above pierced and shaped central splats, creating a particularly attractive silhouette. The two carver chairs are distinguished by their shaped arms and matching uprights.

The chairs retain their lift-out seats, offering practicality for reupholstery should the new owner wish to introduce their own choice of fabric. The rich mahogany has developed a wonderful warm, mellow patina, enhancing the character and appeal of the set.

A highly attractive and versatile set of dining chairs, equally suited to a traditional dining room or a more contemporary interior.
Presented in good condition with a wonderful antique patina.
