Description

A handsome Victorian rosewood teapoy, richly grained and beautifully proportioned, standing on an exquisitely carved pedestal base with scrolling acanthus details and four well‑formed feet. The hinged lid lifts to reveal a fitted interior with its original compartments, including two lidded tea canisters and twin circular wells, all lined in their period materials — a wonderfully intact survival. The rosewood has developed a deep, glowing patina, its colour and figuring enhanced by years of careful use. A refined and functional object from the height of Victorian tea culture — decorative, tactile, and increasingly scarce in such complete condition. Ideal as a collector’s piece or as a distinctive accent in any interior.
