Philip Clissett Rare 19th Century Antique Country Armchair

A superb example of an original, early Phillip Clissett antique ladder back armchair, in fabulous, honest condition and a wonderful original colour. Clissett was Victorian country chair maker who heavily inspired designers and architects in the English Arts and Crafts period. This is a true example that dates to around 1870, it is in superb, solid condition and even has the original traditional rush seat. This is a rare 19th century example, not a later 20th century model made by his disciples. The seat height is 44cm.
