A pair of nineteenth-century Piedmontese Neoclassical armchairs constructed from wood with gesso, upholstered in cream fabric, and finished in distressed grey paint. Each armchair has a square backrest, scrolled armrests, and a carved guilloche frieze above fluted turned legs. The visible timber shows original painted surfaces with age wear, complemented by exposed horsehair on the seat and backrest, together with loose cream squab cushions. Measuring 97.5 cm high, 77 cm wide, and 59 cm deep, these oversized seats offer substantial proportions.
