This early 19th-century Regency wall mirror is constructed from gessoed wood finished in a bright gold leaf. The oval mirror plate is surrounded by a beaded inner border and an outer gadrooned moulding, set beneath an elaborate carved acanthus cresting and above a matching carved bottom pendant. Measuring 44 cm wide by 10 cm deep by 89 cm high, the piece reflects classic Regency design motifs.
