Description

This rare and exquisite French Palais Royal blue opaline glass trinket box date circa 1860. These Grand Tour opaline objects are more commonly found as scent bottles. A trinket box is a little more unusual. The ormulu mounted hinged lid with a fine miniature depicting a Paris monument. The main body with beautiful bronze dore lattice work.

Dimensions:

Height: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.

Base Diameter : 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Glass and ormulu mounts in very good condition.
