Gilt and Gesso has dated this Regency Mahogany Armchair to the Regency era.
A very fine looking late Regency, English arm chair in the Gillows style with exuberant scroll arms and displaying several other smart design characteristics of the era that support a reputable workshop.

A handsome late regency transition to William 1V period open arm or elbow chair, with sabre back legs and turned and fluted front supports, attractive top rail and scroll end lumber support rail, an attractive antique desk chair, hall or occasional chair if versatile use and considerable decorative appeal.
The mahogany frame offers excellent structural condition with some sun fading which again is an attractive timeworn elegance and supports its authenticity, it will polish to a lustre if preferred, sold as it is.
