A decorative Victorian mahogany writing slope dating from the late nineteenth century, beautifully inlaid throughout with engraved brass foliate decoration.
The fitted interior retains the original green leather writing surface with gilt tooling, fitted stationery compartments, removable pen tray, original glass inkwell and concealed drawers hidden behind the traditional secret release mechanism.
The richly figured mahogany, attractive brass inlay and practical interior combine to make this an excellent example of a late Victorian writing slope, equally suitable for display or use.
