The front with twin doors, each panel centred with finely executed mother of pearl birds amongst trailing foliage
Further decorated with boxwood stringing and circular mother of pearl roundels framing the faC'ade

The doors open to reveal a beautifully fitted interior
Lined in the original turquoise paper to the lid interior, offering a striking and unusual colour contrast
The centre with a lift-up compartment above a bank of three graduated drawers

Drawers retaining their original turned handles and neatly finished interiors for organising jewellery and personal items
The inside of the doors with richly decorative panels in deep red and gilt-style ornament, adding a theatrical, almost cabinet-of-curiosities feel
