Georgian Boxwood Spice Tower

The column with four tiers, each of which unscrews, as does the lid. Each compartment for different dries spices, the most commonly stored were cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, mace, cloves or ginger, the labels being added to suit, showing signs of having had labels. Very good colour and patination, probably from Tunbridge Wells.
