Description

A late 18th century Mahogany Sedan armchair. Of wonderful form and good scale. The drop in seat and shaped back rest with rattan. With adjustable metal inserts for the carrying handles. Raised on square legs joined by stretchers and with the original oversized brass casters. c1780

Provenance. Collection of Christopher Gibbs (1938-2018)

Overall in good solid order with a few historic repairs. The rattan on the front of the seat has started to fray but still does the job.
