Large antique French worn gilt and bare gesso mirror.
This would be the perfect leaner mirror or overmantel.
It dates from around 1860.
It has its beautiful worn real gilt on gesso frame with the reddish bole and bare gesso showing though. This is underneath all real gilt on gesso mirrors. This is a lovely more understated and relaxed look to a completely gilt mirror.
It has its original glass in fantastic condition.
