A superb early 19th century rosewood and brass inlaid writing slope / table desk of monumental proportions at over half a metre wide.The exterior boasts exceptional graining with continuity ensured at every join. The brass inlay has hints of Anglo-Indian influence with swirls and circles to each corner of the box. Brass escutcheon and brass campaign handles. Key absent.The lid has two small brass holes in which a book stand can be placed. The original bookstand remains present and fits perfectly as it should. Hidden drawer to the left side pops and returns when released without issue.
