Lovely mid 19th.c. mahogany cheval or dressing mirror on stand c.1840. Original 17.5'' x 29'' mirror plate within a crossbanded mahogany frame. Angle adjustable on a superb turned and block stand with turned finials, tightening knobs to hold the mirror in place and twin turned stretchers. Over rectangular plinths with moulded quarter round brackets and turned roundels at the ends front and rear. Raised on turned bun feet with the original brass castors recessed below. Some tarnish to the mirror plate which could be replaced with new glass if preferred. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
