Victorian Gothic Revival Pair of Oak Hall Chairs

Description

-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A wonderfully charming pair of oak X frame hall chairs, in the Gothic manner.

Late 19th century-c.1890.

Constructed from solid oak and of excellent quality.

Beautifully carved rosette motifs to each side. Carved dome finials to each upright, with matching finial to front of armrests.

Having X frame supports united by stretchers to front and back.

Upholstered with a high quality and very attractive studded William Morris style fabric, very similar to "Meadow" having naturalistic colourful floral designs, with a cream background, in excellent unworn condition.

In excellent antique condition. The frames very strong and sturdy.

The dimensions are.

Height-97cm. Seat Height Approx-50cm.

Frame Width-57cm.

Frame Depth-56cm.
