Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A George III Windsor chair is a traditional wooden seating form characterised by a solid sculpted wooden seat into which the legs, back spindles, and arms are independently fitted, often featuring regional British variations during the late 18th century.

These chairs typically combine multiple woods for structural integrity, commonly utilizing yew, ash, elm, and beech, where bendable woods are used for hoops and dense timbers for seats.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-turned spindles with minor irregularities, wedge-tenon joinery piercing the seat, traditional tool marks from adzes or scorps on the saddle seat, and natural oxidisation and wear consistent with age.

Pairing this traditional seating with a contemporary minimalist dining table or placing it as an accent piece against a plain neutral wall creates a balanced contrast between historical craftsmanship and modern simplicity.

Maintain antique wood by keeping it away from direct heat sources and sunlight, avoiding silicone-based polishes, and periodically applying a microcrystalline wax to nourish and protect the finish.
