A Regency Giltwood Girandole Convex Wall Mirror

A handsome regency period giltwood and gesso wall mirror with the original mirror plate and reeded ebonised slip, all mounted in a thick moulded frame, surmounted by a carved spread eagle, with a pair of girandole gilt and gesso candle arms with cut glass candle cups.

The convex mirror is very attractive with evenly spread foxing across the plate.

In places the gilding and gesso is showing signs of age and rubbing with some very minor losses.
