Beautifully made in elm, ash and beech timbers, by the chair maker George Wilson Grantham, Lincolnshire around 1850. Rare to find antique Windsors by George Wilson and this model was only ever made in the Lincolnshire area. Stamped by the maker on the seat. In excellent, solid condition, all very original and a good colour. The seat height is 43cm. The exact chair is held in a private collection and is also featured in Bernard.D.Cotton’s book, The English Regional Chair. ISBN No1 85149 023.
