A superb example of a very rare Georgian Walnut Wall Mirror C1760
 
Crafted from a rich, warm-toned walnut, this is a truly authentic Georgian period hall mirror. The refined classical giltwood carving and graceful broken-arch pediment place it as a fine example of the mid-Georgian period, circa 1760—a golden age of English furniture design that spanned the reigns of King George II and George III. The mirror''s silhouette is defined by an elegant broken-arch pediment at the top, complete with scrolling ears. The crest is adorned with a striking central motif depicting a gilt fretwork-carved detail with a plume of feather like acanthus leaves. The frame is a testament to its original craftsmanship, retaining its original wax-polished finish and a wonderful patina that has developed over time.
