A wonderful country house correspondence box from the Regency period. This beautiful rosewood 'Cage' box having a hinged lid, labelled with "Answered" and "Unanswered" posting slots with 2 2 compartments to the interior. Having a lovely original finish with rich patina. Retaining the original lock and key. English, Circa 1820.
