A Master's Armchair Of The William IV Period

Constructed in a well patinated mahogany, and having a gros point tapestry seat cover; castor shod, the front legs of turned cylindrical form, with horizontal reeding, with the square section rear legs leading into the shaped and swept back uprights, terminating in an incurved toprail carved with addorsed palmettes; below, two crossbars house a central carved backrest; the swept and scrolled arms frame the incurved, upholstered and close brass nailed seat.
