These reveal a total of 17 medicine bottles and jars, all of which retain their labels, six within each of the doors and five to the centre. Below are a series of small drawers which contain (amongst other items): measuring jars; scales and weights; pestle and mortar and further small storage bottles. Within the base is a larger drawer with other various medical items including hypodermic; invalid feeder; pill making tool; couple of scalpels etc etc. To the back is a “secret” compartment for poisons, with four original bottles of ‘poisonous’ substances and a further engraved measuring jar.
