Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Windsor chairs originated in England during the early 18th century, evolving from vernacular woodworking traditions where individual turned legs and spindles were socketed directly into a solid sculpted wooden seat.

Authentic chairs typically feature a combination of native timbers such as elm for the saddle seat, ash or beech for the bent bows and spindles, and fruitwood or pine for the undercarriage, utilising steam-bending and wedged tenon joints.

Authenticity is indicated by hand-turned components with minor irregularities, age-related wear patterns, shrinkage cracks in the solid wood seats, and traditional wedged construction where the spindle tops penetrate right through the seat plank.

These pieces can be integrated around a modern minimalist dining table to create a contrasting rustic focal point, introducing natural warmth and tactile texture into a minimalist scheme.

Maintain the timber by avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources, dusting regularly with a dry cloth, and occasionally nourishing the wood with traditional beeswax to preserve the natural patina.
