An exquisite 19th century, profusely hand carved Anglo Indian occasional chair, expertly restored with drop in seat with lions paw feet.
A fine example of a native rosewood, hand carved with a symmetrical repeating floral design, an expertly skilled carved decoration to all sections, often referred to as a Burmese chair.
The chair is fresh back from the workshop from having expert conservation and best described as mostly excellent condition, it has been through our workshop for strengthening on joints, a stable and original chair that sits well and with no loss or defects to the fretwork carving, please see photos.
Evidence of historic repair circa early 20th century to the back rest upper section with the fitting of 2 bespoke iron straps at the back, see photos.
