Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Both are in excellent condition and still in the original finish, they feature pierced and shaped back rests with open arms that finish with lovely hand carved ends of foliage, each arm end is different. Beautifully made throughout, they stand firmly on chamfered legs with a pierced design below the solid oak seats. Most probably designed and made for a specific English Gothic house. The seat heights are 46cm.
