Absolutely beautiful 19th century French overmantel mirror from a Southern French villa.
It has a very wide real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame with an enormous amount of ornate gesso detail including its beautiful huge crest.
It dates from around 1880.
The glass is in superb condition with no scratches.
Perfect as an overmantel above a wide fireplace or as a leaner mirror in a living-room or bedroom.
Delivery £60 to most of mainland UK using a trusted, specialist antiques courier.
