Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
An enchanting table top, miniature Georgian easel mirror, circa 1750-1800, hand cut bevelled mercury glass showing an elegant timeworn foxing, held in place with hand forged clips and original oak back, a rare and delightful thing.

A charming characteristic of the hand cut glass is the asymmetric shoulders either side of the central raised pediment, a fine surviving example.
