Antique and Unique has dated this Mahogany Amboyna Tea Caddy to the 1800s.
The lid has a brass ring pull type handle. The lock and catch are present but there is no key. The brass escutcheon is a replacement. It would have had internal compartments but these are no longer there - you can see where a divider would have been - and there are some remnants of the original lining.

Condition: The condition overall is excellent. The veneer is all intact. There is a small gap when the lid shuts as you can see in the photos. The handle must have been a bit loose at some point as it has left a ring where it’s rubbed against the top - it doesn’t turn in a circle now.
UK delivery is included in the price - if you would like a quote for delivery elsewhere, or if you would like to collect the item yourself, please get in touch.
