This Victorian overmantel mirror dates from the nineteenth century and presents a grand Regency design style. The piece uses giltwood, glass, and gesso materials, finished in a bright gold colour across the entire surface. The frame includes a continuous rope-twist moulding detail following the arched top shape, complemented by carved scroll feet and high-relief dolphin decorations positioned at each side of the platform base.
