A fine rosewood writing slope attributed to George Austin of Dublin. This example doesn''t have the makers label but we have handled this exact model previously and know it to be by Austin. Profusely inlaid with mother-of-pearl it opens to reveal three mother-of-pearl inlaid lidded compartments and a narrow pen tray. It retains it''s original inkwells but sadly the tops are missing.
Size: 16.'' (41.3cm) wide x 11'' (28cm) deep x 4'' (10.2cm) high.
