This large Victorian overmantel mirror dates from the nineteenth century, belonging to the 1860 period. Constructed from wood and gesso with a gold leaf finish, the frame presents a brilliant gold colour. The arched top houses an ornate crest featuring intricate carved rococo leaf scrollwork and detailed mouldings, complemented by beaded moulding and curved corners framing the original glass plate. Measuring 164 cm high, 136 cm wide, and 7 cm deep, the piece retains its original backboards.
