Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Windsor chairs originated in England during the early 18th century, developing from vernacular woodworking traditions where individual sticks or spindles were socketed directly into a solid wooden seat.

Authentic chairs typically combine multiple woods for structural integrity, often featuring yew or elm for seats, ash or chestnut for bentwood bows and spindles, and beech for turned underframe legs.

Key indicators include traditional joinery such as wedged through-tenons, hand-shaped saddled seats, tool marks from adzes or drawknives, and natural timber shrinkage over centuries.

These versatile armchairs work effectively as statement desk chairs or accent seating, contrasting clean contemporary lines with rich historical character and natural timber textures.

Maintain antique wooden furniture by keeping it away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and periodically nourish the timber using traditional beeswax rather than modern silicone polishes.
