A Large Mid 18th Century George III Mahogany Gainsborough or Library Open Armchair.
This lovely chair is of large scale and stands beautifully, its square sectioned legs and H stretcher making it strong and stable. The front scrolled arm supports, with their fine spiral carving, adding an element of sophistication. The chair has a camel back, and retains its charming and attractive studded suede upholstery.
