Antique Leather and Mahogany Gainsborough Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

A smart and very well made antique leather and mahogany Gainsborough armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.

The quality is superb, this is a nice early model with a gorgeous patina. The leather has just the right amount of wear and has a lovely colour tone, we have had this revived by our leather restorer.

The mahogany has also been re-polished, this is in very good condition for its age, with just some minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.

Depth – 27 inches , 69 cm

Height – 39 inches , 100 cm

Seat height – 16 inches , 41 cm
