Very decorative and elegant early 19th century English gilt bracket or pier mirror with original mercury glass, circa 1840.
The bracket shelf would have held a small ceramic or bronze, perhaps a vase of flowers.
Beautifully moulded floral drapes and the long finials either side are a nice touch too. Great mirror to hang in a hall, as a pier mirror between windows, or perhaps a posh downstairs loo!
Lovely mirror and not too heavy, so it is an easy one to hang.
