Description

A late C18th pair of chairs, of Chippendale country design. These chairs constructed in beautifully figured solid elm feature a pierced splat back. Drop in upholstered seats, ready for covering. Raised on square chamfered legs, supported by H-stretchers.

An attractive, high quality and well presented pair of country chairs. In good condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

These chairs measures approximately 95 cm (37.5") tall, 50.75 cm (20") wide, and 46 cm (18.125") deep. The seat height is approximately 46.5 cm (18.25).

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age. Some odd minor marks and blemishes. Some old and extinct worm holes, typical of elm antique furniture, that does not affect the sturdiness of the chair in any way, and now treated as way of precaution. No loose joints. Upholstered and ready for recovering. Good colour throughout. Good polish and aged patina. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
