The seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in top quality full-grain distressed green leather, using traditional upholstery fillings, finished with deep buttoning and hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The Victorian desk chair rotates 360 degrees. The desk chair mechanism has been cleaned and serviced and is in excellent working order. The mahogany desk chair stands on solid shaped legs, united by shaped cross-stretchers for additional strength, terminating on the original solid brass castors.

Here is a superb quality antique English Victorian mahogany office chair, with a revolving mechanism, which has been newly upholstered in green distressed leather, boasting a stunning rich colour, circa 1880, in excellent condition. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the finish, colour and patination are of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The original revolving cast iron mechanism is in excellent working order, having been stripped down, cleaned and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism, but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair, and will be found in all office chairs of this age.
