A very generous and comfortable 19th century bow chair in elm dating from circa 1870.
Showing wonderful wood graining, colour and a patina from 150 years of use this chair is very sturdy but also decorative and desirable.
Traces of original paint highlights can still be seen on the spindles.
There are no loose joints or loose spindles and the double stretcher between the legs add to its solid construction.
The seat has a small natural split to the front edge.
