The Regency style spans the early 19th century in Britain, characterised by classical proportions, neoclassical motifs inspired by ancient Greece and Rome, and the use of dark timbers such as mahogany and rosewood.

These chairs were typically constructed using dense hardwoods like mahogany, often featuring finely grained veneers, hand-carved decorative elements, and traditional joinery such as mortise and tenon.

Authenticity is determined by examining the timber patination, hand-cut joinery, traditional upholstery methods, subtle tool marks, and historical construction techniques consistent with early 19th-century cabinet making.

They can be integrated as accent seating around a modern minimalist dining table to create a sophisticated contrast, or paired with a simple desk to highlight their architectural lines.

Maintain the wood by applying natural beeswax periodically, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent veneer fading, and keeping them away from extreme humidity and temperature fluctuations.
