Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Traditional upholstered armchairs typically feature deep seats, robust wooden frames, and tailored forms designed for comfort and durability.

These chairs are generally constructed with hardwood frames, traditional coil springs, webbing, and horsehair or cotton stuffing beneath the final upholstery layer.

Authenticity is identified through traditional joinery methods, handmade wooden frames, hand-tied coil springs, and period-specific hardware such as brass castors.

An antique armchair frame can be given a modern update by selecting contemporary fabrics and textures that contrast with the traditional silhouette when re-upholstered.

Preservation involves keeping the wooden framework conditioned, protecting the interior stuffing from moisture, and ensuring the upholstery fabric is cleaned according to its specific textile requirements.
