In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

The Gothic Revival movement drew inspiration from medieval architecture and design, experiencing a major resurgence during the 18th and 19th centuries with characteristic pointed arches and tracery motifs.

These pieces are typically constructed from solid hardwoods such as oak, utilising traditional joinery techniques like mortise and tenon construction to ensure structural longevity.

Authenticity is determined by examining timber patina, hand-cut joinery marks, wear patterns appropriate to age, and historically accurate architectural motifs such as quatrefoils and lancet arches.

Pairing these chairs with a minimalist contemporary table creates a striking contrast, allowing the historical architectural woodwork to serve as a focal point in the room.

Maintain the timber by keeping it away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and periodically nourish the wood with a traditional beeswax polish to protect the finish.
