FAQs

William IV furniture bridges the late Regency and early Victorian periods, typically featuring robust proportions, classical motifs, and heavy mahogany or rosewood construction.

These chairs were predominantly built using solid timbers like mahogany, walnut, or oak, often featuring traditional horsehair stuffing, webbed foundations, and brass castors.

Authenticity is identified through period-appropriate joinery, hand-turned timber components, traditional stuffing materials, and the characteristic heavy proportions of the 1830s.

A period armchair can be grounded in a contemporary space by pairing it with neutral walls, minimalist lighting, and textured contemporary rugs to create a curated, eclectic aesthetic.

Preserve the wooden frame by maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, applying quality beeswax periodically, and protecting vintage fabrics from direct sunlight.
