FAQs

Art Deco mirrors emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by sleek geometric forms, stylised motifs, and influences from modernist and industrial design movements.

These pieces typically feature bevelled silvered glass panels, often accented with coloured glass sections like peach or amber, mounted on timber or metal backings.

Authentic pieces usually display period-specific hardware, hand-bevelled edges with minor oxidisation on the mirror backing, and traditional construction methods rather than modern assembly.

Such statement pieces work well as focal points above mantelpieces, sideboards, or console tables to introduce a touch of geometric elegance and symmetry to contemporary spaces.

Clean the glass gently with a soft microfibre cloth and alcohol-free cleaner, avoiding excess moisture near the edges and backing to prevent silver degradation.
