Exhibition Quality Pair of Mahogany William IV Hall Chairs

Description

Circa 1830, an exhibition quality pair of mahogany William IV Hall chairs, with the solid heart shaped back, with flamed mahogany insert, solid seat with carved recessed circular center, and rounded foredge. Beneath there’s is a shaped frieze which follows the form of the seat, the back legs are square and slightly outswept, the front legs are turned, ring turned, tapering legs which finish on a bulbous toe. The chairs have excellent colour and patination.
