This Victorian French Louis XV Revival display cabinet is constructed from warm brown kingwood with a parquetry veneer finish, complemented by a variegated pink, grey and white marble top with moulded fore-edges. The serpentine-fronted case contains two glazed shaped doors and matching shaped side panels, fitted with brass mounts, cast foliate ormolu mounts, and brass sabots on slender cabriole legs. Inside, the cabinet provides a silk-lined glass shelved interior visible through the front and side glazing. The piece measures 172 cm high, 133 cm wide and 46 cm deep.
