Fine Regency sarcophagus shaped mahogany tea caddy, fitted interior,c1815. It has its original foil lined internal boxes and a mixing bowl which is a modern replacement. It has a lovely decorative brass escutcheon and unusual glass/ceramic ball handles. This is a good honest example which has aged well with great patina. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear and a small loss on the lip at the base.
